Liborio Noval Barbera
Liborio Noval Barbera was born in Havana, Cuba, on January 29, 1934.
He is a cuban photojournalist who has received countless awards and distinctions.
Professional career
Begins to work as a market researcher in Advertising SIBONEY in January of 1952. In 1957 passes the Department of photography of this agency and works as a photographer until February of 1960. In January 1959 begins as a technician in the newspaper "Revolution-Revolución", turning to photographer in 1960. Also in 1960 worked for eight months in the magazine "Inra". Works in the "Revolution-Revolución" newspaper until the month of October 1965, since that day 3 of that month was founded the newspaper "Granma", which continues today. As a photojournalist, he has participated in most of the activities that these 41 years have occurred in the country.
Professional achievements
Have published his photos in national and international journals as well as books of photographs. He has been a juror in several photography contests. He participated with 2 works in the auction humanitarian of the Casa de las Américas with the occasion of the Havana Biennial, year 2000. He participated with 2 works in humanitarian auction for the Foundation Chappard in Venezuela, to raise funds against the AIDS.
