Ian Padron was born in Havana, on March 14, 1976. Since very young he collaborated with scripts for the magazine Zunzún and for the animated series

Filminutos of the ICAIC. In 1996 he began to work professionally with the ICAIC, carried out the following year, the Making of Love Vertical (Amor Vertical) , his first professional job.
His short fiction Motorcycles (Moto) written and conducted in 2000, was the first thesis of graduation produced 35 mm by a pupil of the Superior Institute of Cuba Art, whose Faculty of film, Radio and TV.
Fuera de liga is his first documentary feature film, which deals with the theme of baseball in Cuba.
He has been the artistic director of concerts and galas of important figures of the Cuban culture (Van Van, Beatriz Márquez and gala by National Award film 2007 Juan Padrón).
